The CFO Opportunity
Eastern Education Group is entering its second century with ambition, momentum and a clear sense of where it wants to go. It now needs a Chief Financial Officer who can help it get there.
This is a broad, strategic role. As the CEO's finance and commercial partner, you will sit at the heart of the Senior Executive Team, bringing insight, challenge and an outside perspective to the decisions that will shape the Group's future. You will turn big ambitions into plans that are affordable and achievable, and give leaders a clear view of performance and risk so they can act with confidence.
You will also have the chance to build. EEG wants a modern finance function with sharper forecasting, stronger business partnering and better use of systems, data and automation, and you will lead that change. Your remit goes beyond finance to include strategic procurement, risk and assurance, funding and major bids, and the Group's estate and capital investment, where you will lead the Group Director of Estates. In a Group that spans primary schools, specialist SEND provision, sixth form colleges, further and higher education, few decisions will fall outside your influence.
EEG would love to hear from outstanding finance leaders in education and from other complex, multi-site organisations. Experience of the sector is helpful but not essential. What matters most is sound commercial judgement, the adaptability to get to grips quickly with a new funding and regulatory landscape, and a genuine appetite for leading change.
